I want a girl who draws murals-
storms of painted fire and life,
buildings brought into color-
a new wall undone.
I hear she's made of numbers and letters-
a mix and a mess, some kind of art.
I wonder how she wears her hair
while working,
and how her shoes and clothes are stained.
I imagine in roadside murals, but I'm unimpressive
and uninspiring, and it wouldn't do,
either way, to watch from the shade.
